Rev Coffee Roasters has launched its first capsule apparel collection, featuring limited-edition T-shirts designed by three local artists.
The collection builds on the coffee shop’s involvement with local art, which dates to 2007, and was inspired by owner Nick Bimmerle’s longtime interest in concert merchandise. Rev selected the artists through recommendations from the Smyrna Arts Council, local leaders and members of the coffee shop’s staff.
The featured artists are Chris Noosh; Jeremy Townsend, who works professionally as Jert; and Ian Evarts. Each has ties to Smyrna or the broader metro Atlanta area.
The artists created original designs for the collection, which Rev described as a limited release. Only a small number of shirts were printed, though the company did not specify how many would be available.
Rev said 100% of the profits from each shirt sold will be paid to the artist whose work appears on the apparel.
The collection also extends Rev’s practice of using its café as a platform for local creative work. The business has regularly showcased art and artists as part of its presence in the Smyrna community.
